CASA

VISUAL IDENTITY

PRINT DESIGN

My husband and I lived in Malaga, Spain for about a year during the pandemic. That year, we sampled living in various towns in Costa del Sol for several months at a time, including Benalmadena.

Nestled on the southern coast of Spain, Benalmadena was undergoing a captivating transformation, transitioning from its traditional architecture to an elevated tourist destination. Parts of the picturesque town, with its ancient charm, were being built over with high-end, modern villas to invite European travelers and retirees.

CASA is a visualization of this town, capturing the blend of the old and new, tradition and recent, modernity and history in Benalmadena. The sprawling construction sites with piling debris of the previous residences prompted me to explore the meaning of home and place.
